- In the old days,people did the toshi-gomori custom,there they stayed at home from New Year's Eve to the morning of Nwq Year's Day and stayed up all night to pray for the coming of the Toshigami-sama god.This toshi-gomori custom changed to making the visit on New Year's Eve and making another visit on the morning of New Year's Day.
